Solos and Features
Adagio
(Soprano Cornet)
This beautiful melody is a mixture of old and new. The solo starts in the traditional style before being brought up to date with the accompaniments changing to more of a modern ballad style, the piece then reverts to the traditional style to finish.
A must have solo for your Soprano player.
Amazing Grace
(Tenor Horn)
One of the most popular Hymns of all time. Kevin has skillfully arranged this as a horn solo which has a touch of something different about it.
A great crowd pleaser.
Cornish Sunset
(Euphonium)
Cornish Sunset was Kevin's first published work. This stunning atmospheric solo has been featured on radio programmes on numerous occasions and been recorded by several bands.
A very popular piece with audiences wherever it is performed.
Londonderry Air
(Tenor Horn)
A timeless melody that never fails to please an audience. This stunning arrangement is suitable for all standards of soloists.
Also available with piano accompaniment.
Serenade
(Tenor Horn)
A beautiful melody that shows the soloist's musicality to the full. Written in the style of a modern ballad, this solo has everything in a slow melody. Both soloists and audiences love it.
Also available with piano accompaniment
Smile
(Euphonium)
Another timeless melody, this time composed by Charlie Chaplin. A beautiful solo, easy but effective.
Solace
(Tenor Horn)
Another fine example of Kevin's skill as a melody writer. The full chording, subtle rhythm and beautiful melody pleases audiences of all ages.
A fantastic addition to your Horn solo repertoire.
Sonata No.8 "Pathétique" (2nd Movement)
(feature for Flugel and Horns)
The stunning 2nd movement from Beethoven's Piano Sonata No.8 beautifully arranged to feature your Horns and Flugel.
A must have feature for your band.
The Carnival Of Venice
(Euphonium)
A twist on the "classic" Arban version of this melody. The overall range of the piece covers four octaves from pedal F upwards so maybe not quite for the faint hearted, and there is room for some tongue in cheek comedy in the second variation.
What else do you need in a solo?
